A native of the San Francisco Bay Area native who is based in Albany, N.Y., Annie Owens is an illustrator whose watercolor and ink works often feature anemic, despondent, adorable girls, aesthetic sisters of Wednesday Addams, amid an apocalyptic setting. Owens is also the co-founder of Hi-Fructose, “a quarterly art magazine [that] focuses squarely on the art which transcends genre and trend [and] showcases an amalgamation of new contemporary, emerging as well distinguished artists, with a spotlight on awe inspiring spectacles from round the world all of which help to define the future of art in our culture.” To view more of Owens’ work, visit ouchclub.com.
