Sketchy Inspiration #41: “Mountain Monster”

"Mountain Monster" by Chris McMahon

Today’s Inspiration is Chris McMahon, who discovered that you could turn a schlocky landscape painting into a kitschy keepsake by the simple addition of a giant monster. Along with Thryza Segal, McMahon was recently featured in Twisted Sifter for his monstrous masterstroke, which is both funny and impressive insofar as the artists render the inserted enormities, everything from the hirsute knuckle dragger pictured above to a cuddly narwhal, so that they fit seamlessly into the original composition.
